Kayla and Shelby from ASL II taught some sign language to second graders! Way to go ladies! Can you tell what these signs are? Top Left: Ava and Dakota. Top Right: Avelyn and Shelby. 2nd Row Left: Carter and Nate. 2nd Row Right: Daphne and Kayla. 3rd Row Left: Jesamin and Aubrey. 3rd Row Right: Avelyn.
4th Row: Nicholas, Nate and Carter. Understanding leads to respect. Learning what its like to be physically disabled, blind or deaf helps increase awareness. Aubrey interpreting the song "This Is Your Life" by Ronnie James Dio. Our American Sign Language Class was able to perform the Star Spangled Banner at the Pima County Fair in April this year. The TCDS Choir sang the song for us to interpret. A special thank you to Mrs. Bell for organizing this opportunity for her choir students as well as allowing ASL student, Lily Paraninfo to interpret our national anthem at the Roadrunner hockey game on Friday the 27th of January. Great job!
